Facelift
facelift

Facelift treats sagging and ptosis of the middle face’s and neck’s skin. It maintains its reputation as the “golden standard” for facial rejuvenation, since no no-surgical procedure can replace it when the following signs of aging co-exist: creased and loose skin on the middle face, wrinkled neck, wrinkles and deep nasolabial folds, jowls and double chin.

The most important advantage of facelift is therefore that it can improve all the facial aesthetic subgroups at the same time. The duration of the procedure is about three hours, it is used general or local anesthesia and discharge note is usually given on the same day (day clinic).

In order to achieve optimal aesthetic results, facelift is usually combined by the use of methods such as stem cells, laser, peeling, autologous fat, which – in addition to sagging and ptosis- restores the quality of facial skin and neck, as well as fat atrophy (e.g. in cheekbones). The result is a renewed, smooth, tight skin. In many cases, also, facelift is combined with blepharoplasty or blepharoplasty without scalpel or temporal lift.

Recovery from face lifting takes 10-14 days, so return to work can take place, while full activity occurs after 2 weeks. The plastic surgeon’s intervention should not be perceived, so successful is the natural result, that restores and highlights the characteristics of each face without changing them.

Heredity, skin quality, significant weight fluctuations, smoking and environmental factors (such as excessive sun exposure) can affect the longevity of a facelift, the result of which lasts in general from seven to ten years.
